The Quiet Shape of Luxury
A foldable box that holds Salmonica’s patience, depth, and restraint.
When designing this foldable rigid box for Salmonica, we began not with the structure, but with the character of the brand itself. Salmonica is not a loud story of the sea. It is the quiet depth beneath it—the patience of slow tides, the calm weight of flavor that unfolds gradually rather than demands attention at once. The packaging needed to hold that same quiet confidence.
We chose a soft, misted grey for the surface—a tone that feels like the first light resting gently over deep water. The box does not compete with the product it carries. Instead, it gives the caviar space to speak in its own time.
The two logo versions reflect two expressions of flavor. The black mark corresponds to the original—pure, restrained, direct, like an untouched shoreline at low tide.
The red mark introduces a faint warmth, indicating the sea salt variant—subtle, rounded, reminiscent of the moment when the tide returns and leaves a soft trace of saline on the air. The colors do the explaining, quietly and clearly, without the need for excessive words.
The structure follows the same principle of thoughtful restraint. The box ships completely flat, respecting storage and logistics with a sense of economy; yet it forms in a single, fluid motion, without magnets, without adhesive—simply by following its own lines. There is a quiet satisfaction in the way it comes together, nothing forced, nothing added beyond what is needed.
The handle at the top offers the final gesture of care.
It allows the box to be lifted, gifted, and placed onto a table with ease and a sense of dignity—no extra bag, no awkward hold, just a simple, intentional carrying of something meant to be shared.
In the end, this is not merely a container for caviar. It is an expression of how Salmonica understands luxury:
Not in display, not in excess— but in patience, precision, and the right amount of quiet.
