Hanami is a conceptual beauty brand developed as an exploration of restraint, clarity, and modern femininity

The project examines how a brand can communicate both softness and precision through a unified visual language, where typography, color, material, and form work together with quiet intention. 

Rather than relying on excess or decorative complexity, the design seeks reduction — distilling beauty into its most essential elements.

In an industry often defined by saturation and visual noise, Hanami proposes an alternative approach. It does not compete for attention, but instead holds it through balance and control

The brand language is deliberately calm, allowing each element to exist with space and purpose, creating an experience that feels composed rather than constructed.

At the core of the project lies a study in contrast — softness set against structure, warmth balanced by precision. This tension is carried throughout the system, from the custom logotype to the packaging architecture. 

The typography features subtle curves and controlled spacing, while a gradient palette derived from coral and rose tones introduces warmth without overwhelming the composition. The result is a visual identity that feels both contemporary and timeless.

The color system is intentionally restrained, built on a foundation of peach, rose, and soft neutrals. Instead of contrast-heavy combinations, the palette emphasizes tonal harmony, allowing different products to coexist within a cohesive visual framework.

Packaging design extends this philosophy into physical form. Clean structures, matte textures, and minimal graphic elements create a tactile experience that reflects the brand’s visual clarity. 

Each package is not treated as a standalone object, but as part of a larger system, where proportion, alignment, and material contribute to a unified presence.

The identity is applied across multiple cosmetic products, including foundation, lipstick, eyeshadow palettes, and blush. 

While each format introduces its own functional considerations, the underlying design logic remains consistent — ensuring a scalable and coherent brand system.

Hanami is not designed to be loud. It is designed to endure. Through a focus on clarity, proportion, and restraint, the project demonstrates how contemporary beauty branding can move beyond surface aesthetics and toward a more intentional and lasting expression.
